      Restricting myself to using the VAXstation for the month has forced me back to
      using those true retro-tech datastores called 'CDROMS'. I'd almost forgotten
      that you can plug a pair of headphones into the external CD SCSI drive and run a
      piece of software that controls the CD player. On VMS you can use DECW$CDPLAYER
      located in DECW$EXAMPLES:



      The external SCSI CD drive is a DIGITAL RRD42-DA, manufactured in 1991.

      I'm randomly pulling CDs out of my CD rack and playing them if they are of a
      suitable vintage.
